Since the weather has gotten cooler, I've been on a tea-drinking kick (decaf of course since I'm breastfeeding). And I have a new tea-drinking buddy-- Ollie. Just out of curiosity (after I had already given him tea several times), I looked online to see what the web world says about giving tea to toddlers. There were some conflicting opinions, but for the most part as long as it's decaf and some type of common tea (no weird herbal remedies), most people seemed okay with it. I read quite a few recommendations for giving warm tea with honey to children suffering from colds or congestion.
I like the idea of giving Ollie tea as an alternative to juice or water. It's nice to have some different options, and with tea I can control the amount of sugar or honey used. Of course I also like that it is very inexpensive.
Enjoy the cool fall weather, my buddy and I are gonna go have a [REAL] tea party!
